Vader Engineering completed civil and stormwater design to enlarge this unique laboratory facility in order to hold a wood structure the size of a house and load test it to failure. Our analysis required considerable reconciliation of several historical drawing sets to determine existing utility locations. The result was a highly constrained design due to the operating facility, the sensitive Leach Creek Watershed and a multitude of existing functional utilities, including high voltage power, gas, fire, and sewer. re-connection to an existing stormwater conveyance outside of paved areas so that the project remained within minimum permit thresholds and could proceed quickly.
